Lebanon is a beautiful country, located at the crossroads of the Mediterranean Basin and the Arabian hinterland. Air Quality information used to be available publically and freely, once a day from the erml.moe.gov.lb. Unfortunately, there's currently no more active air quality monitoring project.

Le Liban est un très beau pays, situé au carrefour du bassin méditerranéen et de l'arrière-pays arabe. Les informations sur la qualité de l'air étaient auparavant accessibles publiquewent et gratuitement, une fois par jour sur le site erml.moe.gov.lb. Malheureusement, il n'y a actuellement plus aucun projet actif de surveillance de la qualitée de l'air.

Unless data is made available by the authorities, the World Air Quality Index project recommends to start publishing real-time data using some of the affordable air quality monitoring stations, such as the GAIA A12 (picture on the right).

0 - 50 Good Air quality is considered satisfactory, and air pollution poses little or no risk None
51 -100 Moderate Air quality is acceptable; however, for some pollutants there may be a moderate health concern for a very small number of people who are unusually sensitive to air pollution. Active children and adults, and people with respiratory disease, such as asthma, should limit prolonged outdoor exertion.
101-150 Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups Members of sensitive groups may experience health effects. The general public is not likely to be affected. Active children and adults, and people with respiratory disease, such as asthma, should limit prolonged outdoor exertion.
